Upon receiving these boots and opening the box it was obvious the boot had been worn. There were crease marks on the tops and scuff marks on the sides of the heels. I did not try them on and immediately filed a return the same day as received on December 1st to confirm what I had received. I took photos that were dated December 1st when I received the boots and prove they had been worn. I sent the explanation along with the photos with the return information. The boots were sent back days later because I do not live near a UPS facility. I received half of the cost I paid for these boots because they had been worn, just not by me. I have other boots from London Fly Company and they are nice and comfortable!! It would have been nice to have received a replacement but of a brand new pair.I was worried about buying this because it had no reviews, but this boot is excellent! I'm a size 8.5 or 9 in US sizes and I got the 40 and it fits perfectly! Plenty of room for my toes (but not too much) and the ankle is stretchy so it holds very well! It's got a solid structure to it and great grip. I haven't tested the waterproof on this so I can't say anything about that but it does have a waxy coating so I expect it'll be fine. One thing I wasn't expecting is the slight heel on this boot. It's not much, but enough to notice! I love these.Love these boots. I get many compliments on them. At first they were hard to get on because I have ahigh instep. Purchased a good shoe horn and problem solved.Boots were nice, I love fly london, It was the way they shipped them to me.In a plain box, bot the original, not wrapped, and they were all scuffed..I love these boots, but I wish they had more arch support.Received the wrong size and color! Had to return them because the ones I wanted were no longer available.Fantastic boots and very comfortable!I wear 7 but in fly london boots 6 is perfect. This applies to all Fly boots. I am a size 8. This, in sensible brands is a EU 42 (looking at you, Dr M and Salomon). I should therefore be able to at least get my foot into a Fly boot. But alas, no. Someone in the Fly product development office has decreed that they use the smallest lasts known to the shoe dog God. I therefore suggest that if you are similarly blessed with enormous hooves that you do not buy Fly boots (I also don't suggest going to the farrier, that's painful!).It has finally arrived!! After problems with the delivery, I am delighted to receive these pair of boots, they are super comfortable, look great, just what I was looking for. I have size 7, wide feet with high arches so getting shoes that are comfortable is always a challenge but these boots feel very comfortable. The ankle area was a little tight for me to initally get the boots on, so took a bit of effort to get into them but it's likely that they will stretch a bit (and I don't have the slimmest ankles). They feel very comfortable and secure once they're on though, the toe area is reinforced but they don't look chunky at all which is great. I know I will wear these for a long time. They also feel roomy enough for a thick pair of socks in colder weather. The delivery problems had nothing to do with the seller, it was the Royal Mail not bothering the ring the bell (we were actually in the house) or leave a card but they communicated with me very well when I reported this to them and helped me track the package and get it redelivered. So, overall, great pair of boots from a great shop, thoroughly recommend this to others.Boots arrived yesterday and as I had ordered a size up I was somewhat nervous but glad I did as I have alot of issues with my foot (bone related) and need wide fitting, comfortable well made footwear.... I love fly London and these do not disappoint... I wore them straight away and all day out and about (I walk everywhere as not a driver) and love, love them ( so much I'm about to order another pair in black) everyone was admiring them and the fab green colour, even I myself spent the day privately looking and admiring them... For me I'm glad I went a size up as need room ... Normally I'd just go half size but these don't come in halfs so went for the 7.... Nice comfy socks and away you go ??I adore the fit, look, and quality of Fly boots and ordered the Gore-tex version as an upgrade of the fantastic Salv boots I already own (amongst other Fly boots).I am thrilled that the fit is exactly the same (I am a 5.5 but take a 5 in Fly boots and they always fit like a glove). They look and feel amazing and are completely free of any blemishes. The height seems very similar to the Salv boots, although maybe very fractionally higher, and apart from a feature at the front they are very similar.Unlike others I did not struggle to get these on, at all.For information, I called Fly to ask whether I still need to treat them with a protective spray as they were waterproof and was advised to do so, to protect the leather. So glad I spotted these. They are worth every penny and more! I love them. This is my 6th pair of Fly boots, I have wide feet and they are usually the only boots guaranteed to fit comfortably. These are a thick leather with a nice sheen, they are tricky to get on as there is an inner lining half way up the boot which restricts the elastic somewhat (I also have high arches though) I found then comfortable right away and have worn them every day since they arrived. I haven't yet tested their water resistance fully, but am hopeful that they will be good. Unfortunately none of my other Fly London have any water resistance, though none have the Gore Tex lining.
